The Robinson for Congress campaign has secured two locations in the 8th district to hold two Iowa Caucus Results viewing parties on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd.

This election, the question is NOT, "Will a Republican or Democrat win the 8th District?  Because of redistricting, a Republican will win the 8th District in the November 2012 election.

Rather, the question for voters is, "What type of Republican will you elect?"

As the great statesman Edmund Burke once said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
 
I was reminded of this quote today after being asked by a constituent, "What's the use?"  This gentleman said that we have elected candidates to Congress who then, upon election, undermine the platform they pledged to protect and promote.  This constituent was especially dismayed with Republicans in the Beltway who appear ready to raise the debt ceiling, cave on spending cuts, and possibly even consent to raise our taxes.
