Vernon Robinson to Attend RED TAILS, Tuskegee Airmen film, with
Congressional Rival in Concord, NC

Concord, NC – The Robinson for Congress campaign announced today
that Vernon Robinson, conservative Republican candidate for Congress
(NC-8), has invited his competitor, Dr. John Whitley, to attend a
screening of RED TAILS. Vernon Robinson is the son of one of the
legendary Tuskegee Airmen of World War II. Dr. Whitley is the son of a
World War II pilot, whose squadron was accompanied by the Tuskegee
Airmen on missions. The two congressional candidates will be joined at
the film by Dr. Whitley’s father. Robinson, whose father resides in
California, suggested seeing the movie together as a friendly gesture.
The gentlemen will visit the Carolina Mall 8 Cinema in Concord on
Friday, January 27 for the 4 PM matinee showing.

Vernon Robinson graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1977. He
was a Missile Combat Crew Commander in the 351st Strategic Missile
Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Robinson earned an MBA
while on active duty and served as an Air Intelligence Officer in the
Reserves. He is committed to a strong national defense and veterans'
rights. His ancestors have defended the nation in military service
since the Revolution.
